Qurbani is a significant act of charity during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, marking the occasion of Eid al-Adha. It commemorates the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) who was willing to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail (AS), in obedience to Allah (SWT). To honor this sacrifice, Muslims around the world share the meat of a sacrificed animal with those in need.
As part of this blessed tradition, every able-bodied Muslim is encouraged to donate, ensuring that families in poverty can receive a portion of the meat. Your contribution can make a real difference in the lives of those struggling to meet basic needs.
Qurbani also marks the completion of Hajj, the sacred pilgrimage to the holy city, and is celebrated by friends and family during Eid al-Adha, on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah.
